Verdict:

8/10

The Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD gets an 8/10 because there is a lot of changes that should be made to this truck. GM should try to change it up a little bit so there is a clear difference between the Silverado models and the Sierra models. They both appear the same, and without the logos on the trucks, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the two apart. The interiors are also very similar and plasticy. The High Country model also is very plasticy even though that's Chevrolets high-end model. There are some changes that need to be done, but hopefully with the remodels of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we could see some new body styles for the HD models.

Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD

The Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD is one of the best vehicles Chevrolet makes. Personally, I think it's not the best tow rig. It is a very, very nice truck but its just not stylish. It's powerful but its just not there for me. This truck is a little too rounded and a little too wide. The best part is that they are just now offering a 6.6L Deisel engine for this truck like the should of a while ago. This is the same engine as the GMC Sierra 2500 HDThe Chevrolet and the GMC are both very similar trucks. The same interior, engine and they are both owned by GM. These are basically the same trucks just with different badges. The Chevy 3500 HD does have a softer ride and can haul more. The Chevy can haul up to 23,000, 8,000 more than the GMC. The Chevrolet comes in 8 different models:

WT Single Rear Wheel: $44,265

WT Dual Rear Wheel: $44,795

LT Single Rear Wheel: $49,590

LT Duel Rear Wheel: $50,740

LTZ Single Rear Wheel: $54,465

LTZ Duel Rear Wheel: $55,170

High Country Single Rear Wheel: $60,005

High Country Dual Rear Wheel: $60,760

As you go up in the models the only thing that really changes is the amount of chrome on the vehicle. The model shown in the pictures is the Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD High Country Duel Rear Wheel. Talk about a long name! On the higher end models, it now comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen and a bunch of parking aid cameras. This is a big plus especially since its an option on the GMC Sierra 2500 HD. You can build your Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD at www.chevrolet.com
